Eastwind Castle is in Aiken, SC, on 25 acres. Looks like they have a Ren Faire or festival on the property as well. Looks to be owner built, but no other information other than this article.
I've been following a blog from Rome written by a man who is in Rome with the American Academy of something. Mostly I've liked his discussions on 'Roman concrete VS modern concrete' ... and his comments about rebar and reinforced concrete. Here's the link: http://mbronskiblog.sgh.com/2010/03/30/week-29-%E2%80%93-the-design-of-concrete-for-durability-by-the-ancient-romans-part-1-reinforcement-or-lack-thereof/
The writer also being a visitor to Rome has a few family type pictures at the top of the page ... scroll down a bit to get to the discussion part. Think you'll find it interesting. Ed
Eastwind Castle is a larp community in Trenton, SC. The castle itself sits on a field that's only about 1/3 of the property, the rest of the property goes back into woods a little over 25 acres. There is a medieval-based village build in the woods complete with three cabins, a mead hall, a fighting ring, a throwing wall and other various buildings. There is a meetup group for them and a facebook. My boyfriend and I have been going there for a few months now and it's already home to us.

Good find Ed! I'll post the link, and FWIW voice my opinion.
